Your Body tells the truth and yoga is a beautiful place to listen to it. Allow the time to be present in yourself and reach graceful acceptance of your mind and body.
I have lived through dysfunction and have learned through yoga to have a balanced life.
I have battled an eating disorder and the accompanying self-esteem issues for over 30 years. On the path to my healing yoga has been instrumental in bringing together all of my knowledge and expertise into one place-on the mat. My realization that Yoga is a multifaceted path out of suffering has compelled me to share this amazing cure.
I am passionate about teaching something that is at a high level of fitness and also gives clarity. Clarity is another way of saying truth. Yoga rejuvenates rather than depletes, it benefits all aspects of you. In my 25 years of self help I have finally found the right combination in one practice!!! I am thrilled about this and try to relay it in my teaching. I relate the movement to emotional or spiritual outcomes .eg: The hips hold irritability and anger-breathe through this. I tell the student what benefits each asana holds; I reiterate the benefits of breath throughout the practice. I have an agenda to free people from the thought of exercise as punishment and help them see that yoga as a form of exercise is an action of self love.
